innovate Health Group is a state-of-the-art accredited medical centre established in 2020 and located in the heart of Albury, NSW. Our medical centre is owned and operated by local professionals with years of experience in setting up, managing and growing healthcare businesses.

Our Owner grew up in Albury and whilst Albury was always been on her radar for a new medical practice, after hearing that the after-hours clinic had shut down indefinitely in April 2020, she thought ‘now is my time’, I can help here. Being amidst a pandemic is one thing, but not being able to get the healthcare that you need, when you need it, at a comprehensive and high quality is something that no one should be isolated from.

Dr Mangipudi Jayashree

Dr Jayashree is a clinician with nearly 30 years of clinical experience, with 15 years of experience in Women's health, Obstetrics

and Gynecology. I have been a General Practitioner since 2006, initially in UK and then Australia. I’m passionate about holistic, personalized and the latest evidence-based care for all my patients and believe that patients should be well-informed and involved in their health care.  Along with being a GP, I have also worked as a specialty Doctor in Contraception and Sexual Health and as a senior educator for GP trainees.

My special interests are women’s health early pregnancy management and full range of contraceptive services including coil insertions and removals and contraceptive implant (rod) insertions and removals; chronic disease management, diabetes and cardiology including early identification tools and primary prevention . I’m also trained in skin cancer checks and skin lesion removals.

I can speak Hindi, Urdu and Telugu along with English. In my spare time, I enjoy Yoga, Aerobics and exploring Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language.

Dr Nessie Malalgoda – GP

Dr.Nessie Malalgoda is passionate about providing the best quality of evidence-based care in a compassionate manner, while working in a team environment.

Having worked as an emergency medical officer in one of the busiest emergency departments in NSW, and then having worked as a general practitioner is the Hunter region, Dr.Malalgoda enjoys caring for patients from all walks of life. She is especially interested in promoting mental health and wishes to pursue further in this field. Her passion is to constantly focus on working to bring the best outcome for each patient, everyday. Nessie speaks Sinhalese as well. During her spare time, she enjoys painting and spending quality time with her family.

Dr Erum Khan - GP​

Dr Erum Khan enjoys working in an environment that promotes a continued medical education, and encourages teamwork to provide the best possible benefits to the patients and the community.

She believes in providing a holistic, patient-centered medicine and evidence-based care. Dr Khan has a special interest in Mental health issues and Women’s health and is keen to undertake further education in these fields. She has recently moved from Central Coast with her family where she had significant experience of working in Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. She also enjoyed her time working as a general practitioner in busy Central Coast suburbs. She is driven by a desire to increase her efficiency each day.

Erum speaks Urdu, Hindu and Punjabi.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, photography and spending time with her lovely family.

Dr Darshana Waval (commencing 26/8)

Dr Darshana Waval has total 10 years of working experience as emergency medicine doctor as well general practitioner in abroad India and in Melbourne, Australia.

She also graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia in Masters of Public Health.

Darshana, has always known that general practice was for her. She enjoys the longitudinal and evolving relationships with people that only General Practice delivers. She believes that treating in General Practice means understanding a person, their story/background, and their goals.

Outside of work, she loves the outdoor lifestyle , and can often be found walking or cycling with her toddler and love reading books.

Dr Fatima Nazir

Dr Fatima is a physician with 18 years of clinical experience in general medicine. After graduating in 2006, she worked in Pakistan and then moved to UAE, before relocating to Albury with her family in early 2024.

I am confident in providing holistic, patient-centred medicine and evidence-based care. I have a special interest in Mental health issues, migraines, and chronic disease.

I am keen to undertake additional education and training in these fields. I recently relocated from the United Arab Emirates with my family where I had significant experience working in primary health care. I enjoyed working and taking care of my patients globally.

Dr Farheen Saboor

Dr. Farheen Saboor is a skilled Family Physician with over 15 years of experience in general practice.

Dr. Saboor is dedicated to providing comprehensive care with a focus on geriatrics, women’s and children’s health, and chronic disease management. Certified in diabetes management and its complications, Dr. Saboor is also proficient in addressing common health issues in primary care, offering both holistic and empathetic care.

Dr Muhammad Nasir

Dr Muhammad has a great level of experience with occupational health and looks forward to seeing you and your family in the practice.

Dr. Muhammad Nasir is an enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed General Practitioner/Family Physician with over 25 years of experience in managing day-to-day outpatient care and medical emergencies, both in his home country and abroad. With a strong background in clinical assessments, Dr. Muhammad is adept at accurately diagnosing ailments and creating effective, person-centered treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. His approach to medicine is rooted in empathy and a deep commitment to patient care.

Dr Wei Cheng Chen

Born in China, Dr Chen has over ten years clinical experiences and has been working as a General Practitioner and Visiting Medical Officer in Australia for over 8 years.

Dr Chen’s truly believe in holistic and multi-disciplinary approaches to provide the optimal patient care. He has been practicing this philosophy in his career as a General Practitioner and Visiting Medical Officer in the rural Australian hospitals across Victoria and NSW. His special interests are men’s health, infection disease and public health.

In addition to English, Dr Chen is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, and familiar with both Australian and Chinese Cultures. During his down time, he plays competitive table tennis at Albury Wodonga Competition, cycles to many beautiful sceneries in the area and enjoys a drink or two of the excellent local produces.

Dr Kashif Surahio

Dr. Kashif Ali is a trained doctor in Australia. He has completed his training with AGPT and FARGP Emergency Medicine.

He has also completed Canadian family medicine certification and is licensed to practise in Canada.
Dr. Kash has a special interest in diabetes management , heart failure, blood pressure, arthritis, geriatric health, child health, and mental health. I manage ( Polypharmacy) cases related to Medications interactions , uses and adverse effects.
I speak English , Arabic , Urdu , Punjabi , Sindhi languages.
In my leisure time I enjoy play cricket and love travelling.

Dr Chris Malalgoda

Dr. Malalgoda has more than 12 years of clinical experience specially in emergency medicine and critical care,having worked in some of the busiest emergency departments in NSW as a registrar as well as a team leader.

He has all round experience in managing patients from all works of life and hopes to pursue further in sports medicine.

Chris is a passionate and enthusiastic doctor who thoroughly enjoys caring for patients and is a great team worker.He loves playing tennis regularly and also enjoys playing the guitar during his spare time.

Dr Shashi Kossinnage

Dr Shashi is passionate about Holistic approach and patient centered care. He loves every aspects of General Practice.

He has special interest in children, geriatrics, mental health and minor procedures. When not at work he loves to do Photography and play Cricket.

Katie Lucantonio - Counsellor

Katie is a Civil & Environmental Engineer turned Registered Practicing Counsellor, after recently completing my masters of counselling degree. The past few years in addition to my master's, I have trained in various modalities such as breathwork, mindfulness and meditation and just recently completed my certification in a groundbreaking technique called Emotional Release Technique.

My approach to helping clients navigate life’s challenges is person-centred, which means I’m focused on supporting each person individually based on their bio-psychospiritual model. This approach allows me to tailor treatment plans to their unique set of circumstances within a holistic framework.

Kara Brockwell – Physio

Kara returned to our beautiful region in 2014 after graduating from Physiotherapy in 2004 and gaining a wide experience in both hospital and private practice around Australia and overseas in Ireland.

She has a particular interest in shoulders and continuous to develop her skills and knowledge in this area to remain at the cutting edge of best practice. Her other passion is clinical Pilates with 11 years experience and soon to open her own studio.

Kara started her roots as a junior Physiotherapist in a multidisciplinary environment. She then found herself working in private practice and has been searching for a holistic approach in partnership with her clients.

Today she is excited about working at iHealth returning to this interdisciplinary approach.

Briony Dixon - Physio

Briony has completed post graduate study in pelvic floor rehabilitation and specialises in physiotherapy for musculoskeletal conditions and women's health.

She returned to Albury after gaining experience in both hospital and private practices in Hobart, England, and Darwin, which has afforded her the ability to treat patients in high performance settings and provide excellence in patient care. Briony has special interest in the role of posture and core strength in lower limb, low back pain, and shoulder injuries. She is also interested in the biomechanics of running, swimming and cycling and provides screenings, setup and guidance back into activity for optimal performance, following injury or pre and post- natally.

She is experienced in whole body assessment and providing individualised hands on treatments, education and rehabilitation directed towards clients goals, optimising performance and prevention. 

Working again in a multidisciplinary environment at ihealth is an exciting prospect.

Briony currently balances clinical work with part time university lecturing and enjoys mountain bike, running, swimming, and family adventures. 

Loretta Fenney - Podiatrist

Loretta has experience with all areas of podiatry and is especially interested in working with children, managing and preventing injuries of the foot and ankle and improving general foot health.

Louise Byrnes - Podiatrist

Louise is experienced in all areas of podiatry having been a podiatrist for over 20 years and enjoys working with the elderly to help keep them on their feet, mobile and independent.

Amanda Taylor - Podiatrist

Amanda’s main clinical focus is the management of complex musculoskeletal foot and ankle injuries, diabetic foot care and wound management.

Jordan Crawford - Podiatrist

Jordan has brought his skills in ‘Strong Feet’ (a foot strengthening programme), Dry Needling and Foot Mobilisation to the community.

We provide the full range of standard general practice services, including management of acute and chronic medical conditions and preventive health care.
