ABOUT US

The innovate Health model brings the latest in healthcare innovation to both meet the patients needs with IT integration, flexible appointment times, comprehensive services but also to GP’s with different ways in which to ‘see’ their patients, nursing support around the clock, the ability to build a practice within our practice using their specialties and the support from the business.

We provide the full range of standard general practice services, including management of acute and chronic medical conditions and preventive health care.  We also offer corporate services, such as work cover and pre-employment medicals. There are on-site immunisation and skin check clinics in our practice as well as minor surgery and wound care facilities. Our experienced practitioners provide mental health and sexual health services to patients from all backgrounds.

innovate Health Group is a state-of-the-art accredited medical centre established in 2020 and located in the heart of Albury, NSW. Our medical centre is owned and operated by local professionals with years of experience in setting up, managing and growing healthcare businesses.

Our Owner grew up in Albury and whilst Albury was always been on her radar for a new medical practice, after hearing that the after-hours clinic had shut down indefinitely in April 2020, she thought ‘now is my time’, I can help here. Being amidst a pandemic is one thing, but not being able to get the healthcare that you need, when you need it, at a comprehensive and high quality is something that no one should be isolated from.

Dr Ali Siddiqui

I am a clinician with 14 years clinical experience in different specialties including Emergency medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery and General practice in Ireland and Australia.

I attained fellowship with Royal Australian college of general practitioners in 2021. I have been part of Albury hospital in the role of Senior GP working in ED.

I believe in holistic care of my patients with shared decision making. Evidence based medicine is core of my everyday practice. I am a father of 2 kids and greatly enjoys family time including outdoor activities.

Dr Jayashree Mangipudi

I’m a clinician with nearly 30 years of clinical experience, with 15 years of experience in Women's health, Obstetrics

and Gynecology. I have been a General Practitioner since 2006, initially in UK and then Australia. I’m passionate about holistic, personalized and the latest evidence-based care for all my patients and believe that patients should be well-informed and involved in their health care.  Along with being a GP, I have also worked as a specialty Doctor in Contraception and Sexual Health and as a senior educator for GP trainees.

My special interests are women’s health early pregnancy management and full range of contraceptive services including coil insertions and removals and contraceptive implant (rod) insertions and removals; chronic disease management, diabetes and cardiology including early identification tools and primary prevention . I’m also trained in skin cancer checks and skin lesion removals.

I can speak Hindi, Urdu and Telugu along with English. In my spare time, I enjoy Yoga, Aerobics and exploring Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language.

Dr Nessie Malalgoda – GP

Dr.Nessie Malalgoda is passionate about providing the best quality of evidence-based care in a compassionate manner, while working in a team environment.

Having worked as an emergency medical officer in one of the busiest emergency departments in NSW, and then having worked as a general practitioner is the Hunter region, Dr.Malalgoda enjoys caring for patients from all walks of life. She is especially interested in promoting mental health and wishes to pursue further in this field. Her passion is to constantly focus on working to bring the best outcome for each patient, everyday. Nessie speaks Sinhalese as well. During her spare time, she enjoys painting and spending quality time with her family.

Dr Erum Khan - GP​

Dr Erum Khan enjoys working in an environment that promotes a continued medical education, and encourages teamwork to provide the best possible benefits to the patients and the community.

She believes in providing a holistic, patient-centered medicine and evidence-based care. Dr Khan has a special interest in Mental health issues and Women’s health and is keen to undertake further education in these fields. She has recently moved from Central Coast with her family where she had significant experience of working in Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. She also enjoyed her time working as a general practitioner in busy Central Coast suburbs. She is driven by a desire to increase her efficiency each day.

Erum speaks Urdu, Hindu and Punjabi.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, photography and spending time with her lovely family.

Dr Chen

Dr Wei Cheng Chen

Born in China, Dr Chen has over ten years clinical experiences and has been working as a General Practitioner and Visiting Medical Officer in Australia for over 8 years.

Dr Chen’s truly believe in holistic and multi-disciplinary approaches to provide the optimal patient care. He has been practicing this philosophy in his career as a General Practitioner and Visiting Medical Officer in the rural Australian hospitals across Victoria and NSW. His special interests are men’s health, infection disease and public health.

In addition to English, Dr Chen is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, and familiar with both Australian and Chinese Cultures. During his down time, he plays competitive table tennis at Albury Wodonga Competition, cycles to many beautiful sceneries in the area and enjoys a drink or two of the excellent local produces.

Dr Chris Malalgoda

Dr. Malalgoda has more than 12 years of clinical experience specially in emergency medicine and critical care,having worked in some of the busiest emergency departments in NSW as a registrar as well as a team leader.

He has all round experience in managing patients from all works of life and hopes to pursue further in sports medicine.

Chris is a passionate and enthusiastic doctor who thoroughly enjoys caring for patients and is a great team worker.He loves playing tennis regularly and also enjoys playing the guitar during his spare time.

Kara Brockwell – Physio

Kara returned to our beautiful region in 2014 after graduating from Physiotherapy in 2004 and gaining a wide experience in both hospital and private practice around Australia and overseas in Ireland.

She has a particular interest in shoulders and continuous to develop her skills and knowledge in this area to remain at the cutting edge of best practice. Her other passion is clinical Pilates with 11 years experience and soon to open her own studio.

Kara started her roots as a junior Physiotherapist in a multidisciplinary environment. She then found herself working in private practice and has been searching for a holistic approach in partnership with her clients.

Today she is excited about working at iHealth returning to this interdisciplinary approach.

Briony Dixon - Physio

Briony has completed post graduate study in pelvic floor rehabilitation and specialises in physiotherapy for musculoskeletal conditions and women's health.

She returned to Albury after gaining experience in both hospital and private practices in Hobart, England, and Darwin, which has afforded her the ability to treat patients in high performance settings and provide excellence in patient care. Briony has special interest in the role of posture and core strength in lower limb, low back pain, and shoulder injuries. She is also interested in the biomechanics of running, swimming and cycling and provides screenings, setup and guidance back into activity for optimal performance, following injury or pre and post- natally.

She is experienced in whole body assessment and providing individualised hands on treatments, education and rehabilitation directed towards clients goals, optimising performance and prevention. 

Working again in a multidisciplinary environment at ihealth is an exciting prospect.

Briony currently balances clinical work with part time university lecturing and enjoys mountain bike, running, swimming, and family adventures. 

Loretta Fenney - Podiatrist

Loretta has experience with all areas of podiatry and is especially interested in working with children, managing and preventing injuries of the foot and ankle and improving general foot health.

Louise Byrnes - Podiatrist

Louise is experienced in all areas of podiatry having been a podiatrist for over 20 years and enjoys working with the elderly to help keep them on their feet, mobile and independent.

Amanda Taylor - Podiatrist

Amanda’s main clinical focus is the management of complex musculoskeletal foot and ankle injuries, diabetic foot care and wound management.

Jordan Crawford - Podiatrist

Jordan has brought his skills in ‘Strong Feet’ (a foot strengthening programme), Dry Needling and Foot Mobilisation to the community.

Chathurika Yatinuwara Gedara

Chathurika is the co-founder and physiotherapist in VitalityVibe Physiotherapy. Chathurika’s preferred name is Chathu and she is very friendly and kind hearted and she can be a great team player.

Chathu has graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since moving to Australia from Sri Lanka, Chathu has expanded her knowledge, skills and experience through her Geriatric and Musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She has worked in a leading physiotherapy provider called Plena healthcare and worked in many Aged cares in South East Melbourne. Currently she is working in private practice and community services. Chathu is skilled in assessing and diagnosing different medical conditions for all age groups and provides effective evidence-Based hands on treatment as well as exercise prescription and management techniques to prevent and minimise the impact of injury.
Chathu is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their health goals and get the possible outcomes for every patient. She believes that understanding underlying anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system is essential for providing effective treatment.

Mustafa Sarwari

I am Mustafa, a qualified Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) who is currently working at innovate Health Langwarrin. Ultimately, my goal is to advance the health of our community.

I adopt an equitable approach to health care, therefore, bulk-bill patients (no out-of-pocket costs).
Contrarily, private patients who are not covered by Medicare will be charged privately.

I possess well rounded knowledge in various dietetic areas including:
• Chronic disease management
• General medicine; diabetic & cardiovascular disease management
(hypertension/hypercholesterolemia)
• Gastrointestinal pathologies (IBS & Low FODMAP diet, celiac disease, lactose

Dr Lavanya Jayaprakasam

Dr Lavanya completed her undergraduate training in Malaysia & worked there for a few years before migrating to Australia. Since 2013, she has been practising as a General Practitioner in various suburbs in Melbourne. What she loves most about being a GP is being able to care for a person's health holistically, and being their trusted family doctor. When not working, she enjoys spending time in nature and travelling.

Dr Anita Nesarajah

With special interest in medicinal cannabis and alternative treatment options for chronic illnesses, Dr Anita is an experienced general practitioner (GP) and Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and believes in working collaboratively with patients to achieve favorable health and well-being outcomes.

Dr Anita is an empathetic and compassionate general practitioner with over 10 years of experience as a physician in Malaysia prior to relocating to Australia in 2012.

Holding an advanced certificate in this field, Dr Anita has a special interest in medicinal cannabis and plant based alternative treatments for a variety of chronic illnesses. Emerging evidence indicates plant-based medicine may effectively treat a wide range of chronic conditions unresponsive to conventional treatments and with that, Dr Anita is proud to participate in the Global QUEST Initiative trial conducted by Curtin University.

Dr Anita also has keen interests in sexual health, mental health, preventative care and chronic disease management, holding  the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health from Family Planning Victoria. Dr Anita is also trained in implanon insertion and removal and PrEP prescribing.

Dr Dipankar Chakraborty

Innovate Skin Centre is led by Dr Dipankar Chakraborty who studied medicine at the Grant Medical College in India, and graduated with distinction 1988. He has over 30 years of experience as a doctor and strives to provide high quality care to his patients.

Dr Dipankar Chakraborty has done further training in Skin and holds 3 certificates from Health Cert in Skin Cancer Medicine/Surgery/Aesthetics and a Diploma in Skin Cancer and General Dermatology.

He is able to perform a comprehensive skin cancer check and perform biopsies, complex removal and repair of skin cancers including skin flaps.

Dr Chakraborty is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), affirming his status as a provider of high quality, safe and competent general practice services.
